Need learning tracks in a jiff? ...or a barbershop arrangement? Can you use both?
Chris is a long-time barbershopper. He is director of Bytown Beat Chorus, a Sweet Adelines chapter in the Ottawa area.
Chris is a Carleton University graduate, obtaining his B.Mus in 2010. He studied Choral Conducting at York University. He sang with the Toronto Northern Lights (2013 international chorus champions), and the O YA (Ontario Youth A Cappella) Chorus. He directed the Nepean Northern Stars Chorus for three years, taking them to contest twice and earning the Most Improved Chorus in 2011. Chris has sung in collegiate quartets Motivation, representing ONT District at the International Collegiate Quartet Contest in Nashville, 2008; Future Presentation; The Nines; Can We Have the Doors Open. He sang with Cross-Canada Chorus, twice superior-rated at the Youth Chorus Festival. He also sang with Thunderbolt quartet.
The love of barbershop and talent in music composition were a serendipitous blend. His first barbershop arrangement was sung by the Nepean Northern Stars in their 2007 show. He now has several arrangements in the BHS store, and offers learning tracks on this site.
His learning tracks show off the barbershop style with precise intonation and rhythmic accuracy.
He is also available to make custom arrangements and learning tracks for your quartet or chorus.
